Mariah E. Moran
Mariah E. Moran is a member (partner) at Stetler & Rotert, Ltd., specializing in federal criminal defense and complex litigation. Her practice is focused on representing individuals and organizations during the investigative, administrative, prosecution and appellate stages of federal criminal matters, including cases involving public corruption, mail and wire frauds, health care fraud, tax fraud, commercial and financial frauds, as well as regulatory and enforcement actions brought by federal, state and local agencies. Ms. Moran conducts internal corporate investigations and advises clients on corporate governance matters. Ms. Moran also represents individuals and corporate clients in complex civil litigation matters, including disputes involving breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, fraud and False Claims Act claims.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Moran served as a law clerk to the Honorable James T. Moody and the Honorable Allen Sharp, in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.
Ms. Moran is a member of the Bar of Illinois Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit Court, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, and the United States Supreme Court. She is also a member of the Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois.
Ms. Moran received her undergraduate degree from Miami University and was awarded a graduate degree in History of International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1997. In 2000, she graduated from Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington. She was Senior Articles Editor of the Federal Communications Law Journal.
